NIGERIAN BOTTLE KIDS BEGIN ARRIVING IN FEBRUARY 2009!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zephyr & Zinnia are a 'rescue' pair of unknown heritage. I bought them along with a pair of peafowl when the owner had to size down due to zoning restrictions. I had in mind to just breed to one of our smaller Myotonic boys and have a pair of family milkers. Meanwhile, we fell in love with this breed, so when my neice and her family decided they would like to get a pair of registered Nigies for their son's 4H project and later for milking, I decided I might as well find a good buck and suitable doe for them. Instead, our pair of does blossomed into a herd of 6 when we found Patch & Harley in Missourri, and later, Bluette and Luther, a blue-eyed pair, in south Texas. Bluette was already bred to a beautiful palomino buck and we are now anxiously awaiting our first Nigerian kids. Patch is due in February and Harley in March with Zephyr to soon follow, all three are bred to Luther. All kids except Bluette's (these will most likely be my great nephew's show babies) will be available as bottle babies if you would like to start or add to your own line of Nigerian milk goats.
